Michigan Wolverines football has been intent on bolstering the offensive line and has done so with another addition out of the NCAA transfer portal. Division-II Ferris State offensive line transfer Lawrence Hattar announced Sunday afternoon that he’s committed to Michigan.

Lawrence Hattar, a 6-foot-5, 335-pound lineman from Livonia, announced his commitment to the Wolverines on Sunday

Lawrence Hattar, a Division II All-American from Ferris State, has committed to joining the Wolverines' offensive line, addressing a critical area of development for the program.

Lawrence Hattar was not a big name in the transfer portal, whatsoever. The Livonia, Mich. native has played for Division II Ferris State since 2022, but at 6-foot-5, 335 pounds, he’s a big body at a position of need along the interior offensive line.

We knew that the Michigan football team was going to go after offensive linemen in the transfer portal, and they got one here. Lawrence Hattar is the second offensive lineman in this transfer portal class as the Wolverines also landed a commitment from Cal Poly transfer Brady Norton.

Lawrence Hatter has played in 27 games across his career which included all 15 in Ferris State's 2024 national title season.
