Having unexpectedly won two Indian state votes late last year, in big part due to a slew of handouts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party is deploying the same playbook in a bid to wrest back Delhi for the first time in nearly three decades next month.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged BJP workers in Delhi to ensure that the party gets 50 per cent votes in every booth in the upcoming assembly elections. Modi, in an online interaction with party workers, said the Aam Aadmi Party was losing ground across the national capital due to its “unfulfilled promises” and “corruption”.

Prime Minister Modi, in his interaction with BJP workers, urges them to ensure maximum voter turnout on February 5 despite the cold. He emphasizes that the opposition’s lies and failures are being exposed,
