Mexico won for the first time ever a CONCACAF Nations League trophy after defeating Panama by a 2-1 score in the final. Mexico was finally able to win the tournament in their fourth try after a tough match against a Panama side that came in as the surprise of the tournament after they eliminated the United States in the final.

Raúl Jiménez scored his second goal on a penalty kick in the second minute of second-half stoppage time, and Mexico beat Panama 2-1 to win the CONCACAF Nations League tournament for the first time.

Sunday night's Concacaf Nations League final between Mexico and Panama was delayed briefly due to audible anti-gay chants being yelled inside of SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. In the 82nd minute, a first warning was issued by Concacaf before the game was stopped a couple of minutes later.
