Jake Paul bout were very much mistaken, after Riyadh Season announced a huge four-fight deal with the Mexican superstar.

On Monday, Ring Magazine reported that Alvarez and Crawford had an agreement in place for a deal that would see Crawford challenge Alvarez for his unified super middleweight titles, before a subsequent Ring Magazine report two days later indicated the fight was canceled for undisclosed reasons.

Those variables, Paul's MVP Promotions said in a news release, would have included a fight vs. Paul for Alvarez on Cinco de Mayo weekend in Las Vegas. MVP's statement also suggested some reporting of Paul and Alvarez news has been less than forthcoming in terms of journalistic credibility.
