Kendrick Lamar and SZA will take the stage at the year's biggest football game -- but there's some controversy.

In 2022, Lamar was a supporting performer during the Super Bowl 56 halftime show. The “legends of hip hop” lineup also featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. However, three years later, Lamar will headline the show with SZA.

"She always had it, and I'm just honored to be next to her talent," the "Not Like Us" rapper said during a press conference on Thursday, Feb. 6

Speculation over surprise guests is at a fever pitch. One name is already locked in: longtime collaborator SZA, which is of no surprise since the two announced they'd be going on tour together. This is Kendrick Lamar though so there will be more guests.

Ahead of the Super Bowl LIX halftime show, SZA is remaining mostly tight-lipped about what fans can expect from her and Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated performance.
