Heavy rain and flooding has caused disruption across East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. The Environment Agency has issued 17 flood warnings for Lincolnshire, including areas near Bourne, Grantham, Lincoln and Sleaford. In East Yorkshire, there are five flood warnings, including the Upper Hull catchment and the village of Bielby near Pocklington.

A number of flood alerts - and a flood warning - have been issued around East Yorkshire after heavy rainfall on Sunday and overnight into Monday. Further downpours are expected this morning though they are forecast to clear by early afternoon with only the odd wintry shower possible for the rest of the day and overnight into Tuesday.

Heavy rainfall and overnight snow have led to travel disruption and flood warnings across the. A yellow weather warning for rain and 36 flood warnings are in place across the region, as well as a yellow weather warning for snow and ice covering Shropshire and Staffordshire.
