Disney+ has shelved 'Tiana,' a series based on 'The Princess and the Frog,' amid a shift in thinking around long-form animated content for streaming.

However, one upcoming project fans were especially excited about was Tiana, a Disney+ series that would act as a sequel to the beloved 2009 film. At the time, the series was announced alongside a Moana TV show, Zootopia Plus, and Baymax, which would all be sequels to their respective hit movies.

The actress, who voices Princess Tiana, encouraged fans of the animated film to "tune in" Princess and the Frog voice actress Anika Noni Rose is sharing her deep disappointment over her character Princess Tiana’s television series being canceled by Disney.
