Democrats in North Carolina emerged from election night with key victories up and down the ballot. But they failed to break Donald Trump’s hold on the battleground state for a third straight time as he cruised to a second term.

The GOP's lackluster showing was blamed by some on North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson's gubernatorial campaign which was embroiled in controversy throughout the cycle.

While the results of the 2024 Election are some that many are still trying to figure out, officials and leaders on both the Republican and Democratic sides are saying there are lessons learned from the results.
