Falcons vs. Seahawks: Atlanta blown out at home in Week 14
The Atlanta Falcons dropped to 4-9 on the season after Sunday's blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The game was tied 6-6 at halftime, but the Seahawks ate the Falcons alive in the second half. Seattle outscored Atlanta 31-3 after halftime to secure Sunday's 37-9 victory.
Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp discusses the game, highlighting the team's second-half improvement. He notes the impact of a kickoff return touchdown (1:24) and how the defense provided short fields.
Darnold and the Seattle offense came alive in the second half. Darnold threw three touchdown passes in the final two quarters, one to Jaxon Smith-Njigba (seven catches, 92 yards) and another to Cooper Kupp.
Rashid Shaheed returned the second-half kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown, Seattle’s defense came up with three turnovers and the Seahawks beat the hapless Atlanta Falcons 37-9.
This time, the backup quarterback is on the opposite side of the experienced spectrum. Brosmer was a rookie UDFA making his first career start. Kirk Cousins will be making his 163rd career start against the Seahawks on Sunday. That doesn't necessarily mean the Seahawks can't take advantage though.
The Seahawks traded for Rashid Shaheed last month in the hopes that he could make some big plays during the push for the playoffs.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson fires strike to tight end Isaiah Likely for a 4-yard touchdown, trimming the Pittsburgh Steelers lead to 20-15.
Now to ensure depth at the position, Minnesota announced it has elevated veteran John Wolford to the active roster before Sunday’s game. The 30‑year-old, undrafted out of Wake Forest, spent three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams and carries career totals of 626 passing yards, one touchdown, five interceptions and 87 rushing yards in seven games.
