Two people have been found dead in Sonoma County in less than 24 hours from the effects of the atmospheric river storm systems battering the Bay Area this week, authorities said Thursday.

A flood advisory was issued by the NWS San Francisco CA on Thursday at 2:59 p.m. in effect until Friday at midnight for Sonoma County.

Two storm-related deaths were reported around Santa Rosa in the last 24 hours as rivers swelled and another round of rain moved in, authorities said Thursday morning.

The NWS states, "Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected for central Sonoma county." "Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
