CANARY ISLANDS, Spain (WKRC) - A 30-year-old woman lost a leg from a shark attack and later died. The tourist was sailing off Spain's Canary Islands on Monday when she was bitten by a shark and died of a heart attack in a helicopter while being taken to a hospital, according to CBS News.

A German tourist who was sailing in a British catamaran off Spain's Canary Islands is dead following a shark attack while she was swimming. CBS News reports the 30-year-old had been in the water next to the catamaran when the shark bit off one of her legs on Monday.

A German woman, 30, died after she was attacked by a shark and suffered a heart attack, on Monday, Sept. 16. She was working on a catamaran vessel on the Atlantic Ocean between Spain's Canary Islands and West Africa.
