Nick Taylor is the winner of the Sony Open and he's not even sure how it happened. The Canadian was never in the mix until chipping in for eagle on the 18th hole for a 65 that got him into a playoff with Nico Echavarria.

A chip-in eagle on the final hole of regulation play gave him the chance to sniff the trophy. Then he went out and grabbed it.

Nick Taylor, standing on the 18th tee Sunday at the Sony Open in Hawaii, essentially had no shot to win, according to computations from Data Golf.
