Eagles coach Nick Sirianni and Commanders tight end Zach Ertz cleared the air after they exchanged words following Washington’s comeback win over Philadelphia on Sunday. Videos show Ertz gave Sirianni a high-five as they were headed in opposite directions.

The head coach reportedly got into a heated exchange with former Eagles tight end Zach Ertz after his team lost to the Washington Commanders Sunday in Landover, Md.

Kenny Pickett will start in place of Hurts, who did not practice all week and remains in concussion protocol. Meanwhile, Linebacker Nakobe Dean is listed as doubtful for Sunday.

The Eagles are prepared to face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon without quarterback Jalen Hurts. During his Friday press conference, head coach Nick Sirianni was noncommital on Hurts' availability,

Jalen Hurts may sit out a potential NFC East clincher against Dallas because of the lingering effects of a concussion. The Eagles could also just rest Hurts to play it safe -- even if he’s medically cleared ahead of Sunday’s game -- and protect their franchise QB from additional injury over the final two games.

If Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts is unavailable for their Week 17 tilt with the rival Dallas Cowboys, they'll at least have Kenny Pickett at their disposal. Hurts remains in concussion protocol while also dealing with a finger injury on his non-throwing hand.
