ANAHEIM, Calif. — Trevor Zegras was back in action for the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night, taking shifts for the first time in nearly seven weeks. The omnipresent question that follows the playmaking forward is how much longer he will play for them.

Zegras returns to the lineup after missing 22 games with a knee injury, but Florida beats the Ducks for the second time in four days, 5-3, handing them their seventh loss in eight games.

The Anaheim Ducks are set to receive a significant boost with the anticipated return of forward Trevor Zegras from injury. Zegras has been sidelined since December 4 due to a torn meniscus in his right knee.

The Ducks won 5-2 against the Nashville Predators on Saturday while the Kraken lost 4-2 to the Edmonton Oilers on Monday. The Kraken will play a unique second game of a back-to-back (SEGABABA), as Monday's game was in Edmonton.

Mason McTavish, who will turn 22 on Thursday, has had plenty of growing pains since being the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021NHL Draft, but it appears he's starting to come into his own. McTavish has five goals over his past three games entering Tuesday night's contest in Seattle against the Kraken.
