Malvin Love, 55, was crossing East Fifth Avenue at Peters Avenue at about 1:04 a.m., walking south, when a 2012 Toyota Camry going westbound on Fifth struck him, according to a news release.
Officers were called to the 3300 block of East 5th Avenue, near the John Glenn Columbus International Airport, around 5:50 a.m. on a report of a shooting.
The crash happened at about 11:30 a.m. in the area of East 5th Avenue and Sunbury Road. The person who was hurt was taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to dispatch.
