Guatemala is reportedly prepared to work with President-elect Donald Trump on deportation efforts, potentially easing the removal of Guatemalan citizens and other Central Americans from the United States.

The plan includes opening new shelters for deportees in Baja California and creating an app to notify consulates in the U.S. of impending detention

Guatemala said it is open to engaging in a "constructive and respectful dialogue" with the new administration of incoming U.S. President Donald Trump, though no agreement has been made on accepting deported migrants.
