Michigan football defensive tackle Kenneth Grant has played his final game in the maize and blue. Grant, a former four-star recruit out of Merrillville, Ind., announced Thursday he will be entering the 2025 NFL draft.

Michigan football may have gone 7-5 this past season but it was rife with talent — particularly on the defensive side of the ball. But even with multiple stars declaring for the NFL draft shortly after the conclusion of the regular season, there was one Wolverine who appeared to be holding out.

ANN ARBOR, Michigan (AP) — Michigan defensive lineman Kenneth Grant is skipping his final college season to enter the NFL draft. Grant, a key part of the Wolverines’ 2023 national championship team, announced his decision Thursday on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Star Michigan football defensive lineman Kenneth Grant has made his decision regarding the NFL Draft. Grant will not be returning to Michigan for another season, and he will instead head to the NFL. Grant could very well end up being a first-round pick. Jim Harbaugh called Grant a “gift from the football gods,” and he lived up to the hype.

He follows his fellow defensive tackle, Mason Graham, in declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, set for April 24-26 in Green Bay. Grant is currently considered a fringe first-round pick and will look to boost his stock at the scouting combine in the spring.
