Delaware was among more than two dozen states that were slammed by a deadly winter storm that produced heavy snow and ice across the U.S. this week. The Director of Community Relations for the Delaware Department of Transportation Charles McLeod joined FOX Weather on Tuesday morning to break down some of the challenges the state is facing as cleanup efforts continue.

Though the worst of the storm ended late Monday, Tuesday morning commuters in parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware can expect slippery roads and blowing snow.

Timing … Right now, we are still 48 hours away from the winter event, but as we get closer, it is likely to be upgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory or a Winter Storm Warning. This system will start initially as snowfall Friday afternoon and evening;

A winter storm watch is active in southern Kentucky until late Friday night as much of the commonwealth is expected to receive more snow Friday.
